Mageia 1 (I586/x86/x64) with LiveCD Europa2 i386 (3xDVD)v
Draft Mageia ( IAC ) was launched in September 2010 as a fork of Mandriva Linux . It is supported not-for-profit organizations. June 1, 2011 came the first version Mageia . Distribution is based on the kernel Linux 220.127.116.11 and supported architectures i586 and x86_64 . Images are available in Mageia , using as a desktop environment KDE 4.6.3 or GNOME 2.32 , moreover, declared support LXDE and Xfce .
Supported upgrade from existing versions of Mandriva 2010.1, 2010.2.
The procedure was quite reconciled over the past two months, so the upgrade should work. But, as always before:
you should back up your data before upgrading;
If you upgrade your laptop (notebook), then connect to the network! You may need to update more than 2000 packages, and it may take some time;

There are several ways to go with one of these previous releases on Magenia. Main:
Download the ISO and burn it to DVD;
Boot from the DVD and vyberat item "Set Mageia 1" in the boot menu;
Select the "upgrade" in the installer.
It is recommended to connect the online repository, unless of course it is possible - the installer will ask you about this during the upgrade. The reason for the desirability of the connection that the DVD includes only a portion of the total online repositories Mageia.
